Having grown up in this historic Tudor home, our client had big dreams for reinventing the lower level after inheriting the property from her parents. Now raising five children of her own, our client dreamt of a space in which her family could spend time playing games, working on crafts, and gathering together for family movie nights, just as she had with her siblings. The renovated lower level needed to serve a multitude of functions; a workout room, a new powder bath, a playroom and living area, a super duty laundry room, and a movie room that could seat seven comfortably were all a must.
After a full gut and remodel of this Wauwatosa lower level, a necessity due to a number of mechanical and structural challenges including a low ceiling height, uneven floors, and snaking mechanicals, Amy Carman Design, in partnership with their renovation company, Carman Made, reconfigured and re-engineered the small space to live large, checking every box on the client’s wish list.
