Recognizing that a trip to the dentist can be an intimidating experience, the ACD team strove to develop a warm, inviting atmosphere, providing the comfort of one’s own living room to the patients of WDA. The clinic is housed inside a mid-century building, a factor which drove much of the design for the interiors and led the way for several of the furniture pieces, including the tufted leather sofa and the sleek-legged armchairs. Jewel-toned tiles are mirrored by walls clad in millwork and wallpaper, bringing a decidedly residential feel to the commercial space. With the shared goal of providing comfort and putting patients at ease, this second-generation dental family also tasked the ACD team with reimagining a book nook for the kids, bringing new life into the well-loved space. Playful, handcrafted artwork of vintage toothbrushes brings further color and whimsy to the space. This family-friendly approach to design reflects the charm and care brought to patients by the clinic’s ownership.
